It is now two months into 2009 and about a week till April.
For me, it's not an easy time as I feel like I am afloat. I'm still searching for my life goals and setting this year’s achievements. What do I want to achieve for 2009?
I ask myself, what have I achieved last year? Am I satisfied with that or was I just senselessly wasting my time for a whole year?
I know I was busy all the time but was the time used wisely? Did I achieve something meaningful? That is still unknown to me but it will remind me to plan my time wisely and meaningfully.
In 2009, I believe that there is a lot to be done. Life is not easy and if I don’t plan wisely, I'll lose this time of my life. Time waits for no one. Am I well prepared to move ahead in life in 2009?
I think it is time for me to read. Reading can help me to think in different perspectives. My aim is to read 12 books this year but I haven’t started any until now. Yeap, it's time to start.
I'm also going to start an exercise routine this year. I used a lot of excuses last year to keep myself from exercising. Even though I started swimming last year, I didn't keep it up. I hope I will continue to pick it up this year. I have played badminton for a few weeks. I’ve tried to keep going at it. Age is catching up with me and I need to exercise for health. Haha!
Well, besides that, I aim to start climbing too. It has been a long time since I’ve gone for hiking or climbing. It's a good activity actually. I'm looking at the planning. If I can, I hope to make it a monthly activity. Do feel free to give me suggestions on good venues. Yeah, I believe it will be very exciting - can't wait. Next year, I'm planning to take on Mount Kinabalu and, after that, Mount Tahan. I will definitely need a lot of training. Do encourage me :)
Traveling will help me expand my world view. I might experience some culture shock but it will be a good experience and great exposure. There is a plan to go to Taiwan at the end of this year. I hope that we will make it. The destination next year should be Hong Kong. Besides that, I'm also planning to go to one of the Malaysian states. As a Malaysian, I guess I should have a look around Malaysia. I aim to visit Kuala Selangor this year for the fireflies. Now is money-saving time.
The best way to record these memories will be through photos. Yeap, that's my aim, to improve my photography skills and to get a DSLR camera. :)
It seems like a year to spend a lot of money. :p But for me, it is worth it. The next task is to find a way to save money or to gain extra income. Hmm...anyone have any home-based part-time work for me? I will be very willing to do it. How I wish that my company would increase the OT payment. Hehe...
Well, a plan is only a plan if I do not put in the effort. Wish me luck in keeping my perseverance.
